In other reviews, people said the wooden box was nice. Unlike others, I did not receive a box for the books. The books are a gift, so I haven't actually unwrapped the books from their plastic to look at them, but I guess I should after reading other reviews. Very disappointing. However, the covers (which I assume are the American ones? ) and paper are slightly disappointing. I have previously owned the Bloomsbury set, which I think have rather more attractive and fitting cover art, and are printed on thick paper, which seems like quite a contrast to these books. If you are used to the American books, then I would say it is a very good buy for the trunk, but if you are used to the Bloomsbury editions- you may be disappointed.

Seems like the reviews are for a completely different product. So I was very disappointed to learn that this product was not what all the reviews I read were for. I am debating returning but my son seems pleased never the less, so I'm torn. I guess it's my fault at the end of the day for not doing more research. I've had a paperback set for years and couldn't pass up on the hardcover set when it was on sale (44% off). I would not have gotten them if not for the sale. The only reason it isn't a 5 star review is the "collectible trunk" it came with. It is kind of misleading in the description. I wasn't expecting something luxurious or grand, but it is literally just cardboard with a plastic "privacy lock". As long as you aren't expecting some super fancy trunk and can get this set when it is on sale, I highly recommend it!
